Chris Watts

Chris Watts is a member of the Windsor Board of Education, being first elected in 2005. He has been a resident of Windsor since 1997 and served on the Windsor Historic District Commission from 2000-2005, acting as its chairman for the last three years. He is an active member of the community, serving as the Assistant Director for the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut, which will be reopening on Pierson Lane in Windsor in 2007. Prior to working as a marketing executive for Andrea Obston Marketing Communications in Bloomfield, Chris had a career in radio, working as an editor for the Associated Press in Washington DC. He also worked for a time as a press secretary for the House Democrats in Hartford.

Watts wants to help increase parental involvement in the school system, which he sees as being vital to increasing test scores and overall achievement. He also wants to help improve communications between the school system and parents.

Chris is married to Amy and lives in the Historic District. They have one daughter, Charlotte.
