Minutes of April Meeting
- Final decision regarding dog forms has been made (in a range of sizes and prices)
- Decided not to do the 375th parade in Sept 2008
- Started assigning subcommittees
- Chose 'buddy' as our WEF dog for promotion
- Win TV to do the filming, documentary for a small fee (percentage).
- Goal: 50 dogs sponsored and sold at auction with several sponsorship prices between $500 - $3000
Tentative timeline:
* Get one dog form for publicity, painted by June 2008
* Solicit sponsors starting in July 2008
* Dogs to arrive by February 2009
* Dogs to be finished by April 2009
* Shad Derby Parade May 2009
* Display on the green May - August 2009
* Display at sponsor locations Sept - Oct 2009
* Hunt Sept - Oct 2009 (with some on the green for Chili Challenge)
* Auction - end of October 2009

Task list:
1. Sue will work on Artist forms
2. Rich will work on finalizing the sponsor forms
3. Paula will call Cowpainters for more info on the custom Husky form and Jodi about helping on the marketing subcommittee and will add info to the WEF website.
4. Jane will call Ina, Four Seasons, and Lisa Souza about being on subcommittees and will check on insurance. And will contact the Lab guy in Vermont
5. Maryann will brainstorm on a name for the event and will get copies of other programs' mission statements
6. Florence will draft an agreement for WinTV's participation
7. Martin will compare sponsorship prices of granby and east granby programs with the form costs
